I am a mother to my 28-year-old deaf daughter, Babelynn Mukila. Her journey has been my greatest source of inspiration, as I have witnessed her overcome challenges with resilience and strength, which has motivated me to support other families facing similar paths. I understand firsthand the importance of guidance, advocacy, and emotional support in raising a child with hearing loss.
Since retiring, I have dedicated my time to volunteering and currently serve as the treasurer of Pamoja Parents of Deaf Children in Kenya. Professionally, I have served as an accountant in public service for over 30 years, during which I gained valuable experience in accountability and community service. Now, I channel those values into helping build a more inclusive and understanding society. Through GPODHH, I aim to provide encouragement, raise awareness, and contribute to a supportive network that uplifts families with children who are hard of hearing globally.
Outside of my professional and volunteer work, I enjoy travelling and reading, which help me maintain a balanced perspective and a lifelong passion for learning.
